Just to bring you up to speed on the score card, Albert-Tiger spent about a day and a half at the Emergency Vet in Waukesha, I've got the number if you need it, its speed dial number one on my phone.
Ole Al - Tigey Wigey (what we call him here) ate a puppy chew toy and some soft "babies" and some parts of the rug in the back seat of my car. He had a couple X-Rays and a some surgery to the tune of about $2500. We're just a small rescue with rather a limited budget, and while I hate to ask (especially in mid-late December), "Brother could you spare a dime?"
If have recently discovered a wind fall that you'd like to donate to charity, please consider Albert Tiger's medical costs. Here is the link to our donation page: http://rescue.fluffydog.net/Donations_fundraisers.html .
At the risk of further complicating things, the web hoster charges 3.5% for each online donation but if a check is mailed directly to Fluffy Dog Rescue, all goes to Al's surgery. The address for FDR is:
W295 N8437 Camp Whitcomb Rd.
Hartland, WI 53029

Again, Thank You for even considering making a donation. I know I'm thankful that he was able to thave the surgery and we didnt lose him. My daughter Kiera was a wreck on Sunday and Monday. She wasnt up when Scott took Albert Tiger to the vet. She was a little shell shocked to say the least.
Ok, well. Enough of that. You didnt come here to read about another organization needing a little extra funding. Thank you for thinking rescue, just the same.
Albert Tiger's healing is coming along great. At first when he came home Monday night, Denali, did not know what to do with him. Yesterday, after Albert-Tiger came out if his drug-induced haze, she actually play bowed to him. YaY!
A little later yesterday, I got a picture text from Scott. He had gone into work a little before I left for work and I had to put Albert-Tiger in the kennel. It showed the cone of shame in pieces .
Here I took some with my camera just to show you:
Scott said that the cone was still on Al's neck when he arrived home and that he had to cut it off with a scissors.
So, here's some qualifications that YOU need to meet if you want to adopt Albert Tiger. You need to be neat and not leave stuff laying around. He will chew it up and swallow, resulting in costly surgery (at the very least) or yes, even death. He is such a voracious chewer/swallow that the only toys I recommend, even with supervision are hard bones. Nyla bone makes a Galileo that is also rather indestructible. We have one of those and he has been enjoying it lately. http://www.petco.com/product/2566/Nylabone-Galileo-Bone.aspx - This is the link to Petco's website to check it out.
He will probably need to be kenneled when you leave the house to keep him safe.
He also likes to run at the dog park everyday. He hasnt had the opportunity to since his surgery and I'm thinking that is why he is so "chewy". Scott was wondering aloud if maybe he's teething too. He might be. He might be getting those big 18 month old molars. Anything is possible.
There you have it. Albert Tiger in a nutshell. He is an amazing, sweet sweet dog. He loves to cuddle and he's a wonderful dog ~ he just likes to eat stuff he's not supposed to.
Thank you for thinking Rescue. Thank you for Reading!
