Little Kringle, who was found running as a stray on Christmas Morning, needs his own family. He'd really like just to be top and only doggie. In return, he'll take you for brisk walks around your neighborhood, or even to the dog park, he'll play keep away with you with his squeaky ball (I'm not sure how we still have one that actually squeaks anymore but there it is.)
We have some cats here at The Lodge and well, he'd rather not live with kitties, or so he says. We're getting better. Just now he had the opportunity to chase and attempt to eat the kitty but he just stood where he was and didn't move a muscle. That's good. I'm sure it will be a while before the cats trust him again, but I'm also sure he'll be at his Furever Family by that time.
I don't think he was ever properly socialized, or even improperly socialized with other dogs, for that matter. He does infinitely better with the female dogs in the house. The males, not so much. He's learning how to be a pack member but like all things, it takes time and patience. He's better than he was but still needs to learn to share, his humans, his toys and his space.
He's very sweet and loves to ride in the car. I don't kennel him when I leave because he is that good in the house. He is kennelled at night so that cats can roam around freely without worry about getting "snuck-up" on.
He's also quite the camera ham. (double click to enjoy larger)
Strike a pose there's nothing to it. |
Ooh, it's very loud here with new puppy around. |
Te'a's ok to share a lap with. |
Cheese! |
Well, they're occupying the same space and nobody's snarling. That's good. |
Thanks for reading and thinking rescue. If you want to apply for Kringle Carlos, the apps are in the upper right hand corner!
