A Weekly Update

After much debate we settled on a different name for Bronte. Apparently, his name was Kyle at the shelter down south buuuut our neighbor's name is Kyle so that just wouldnt work. I threw some names out there and Reno stuck.

So far so good with that.

He's doing ok in the house. If people (under the age of 16) would take him out on a more regular basis, he would have less accidents. (rrr)

He's getting more friendly too. I'm sure that will take a little longer to overcome the shyness but he's starting to eek out of his shell a little bit more everyday.  He's good at stairs and he's such a good cuddler. Furever family if you're out there, you'll want to know that he and Kiera have bonded magically. This morning at the dog park, I was walking with Lincoln/Winky and his family. Kiera was a woman on a mission and started walking faster than we were. (She also only picked up one #2... just sayin'). Regardless... Mocha, Te'a and Miss Alyx all hung around me but Bronte/Reno (Bambino) trotted happily along behind Kiera as she motored around the perimeter.

After four days of going to the dog park, he's starting to run and play and do all things dog at the dog park. His tail is high in the air and he's usually flying and leaping over Alyx. He gets a little unnerved by the bigger dogs. Yesterday a husky sniffed his back and I think poor Mr. Bronte/Reno thought he was dead.

I've been trying to pet him more to get him used to people touching him. Today was the first day he actually let me run my hands down his sides and ruffle the long hairs still hanging around his pink spotty body.

Speaking of hair, I cant believe how much hair has grown in in the week that he's been with us. He's still pretty pink when he winds up and runs like a maniac at the park but that hair is really starting to come in.

He is done with his mange treatment next Wednesday so I guess, if you were up for having a cute little naked doggie at your house, you could take him home then.
