Been Waitin' to See Harley??

Well, wait no longer.  Harley, known as Teddy around The Lodge, has been with us since Sunday Night when we picked him up from his transport.  He is about 18mos old and he is a Powderpuff Chinese Crested.

He is sweet, sweet, sweet and is crazy and silly.  When he first arrived, he wasn't quite so sure what to make of the big doggies or the children but has settled in quite nicely.

He is housetrained, does fine, ok, he ignores, the cats and he kinda thinks he might want to play with the big doggies, if only, they werent so big and he weren't quite so little.

He has a personality that's larger than life and he'll be the first to tell you about it.  He is really quite the talker.  I'll try and get a little video of that for you but right now we all get quite entertained by him.

He's already been to the dog park park twice and had a ball.  Wherever he was before, he must have been at the park before because he knows what to do there.  The first day we were there, I had him on the leash but this morning, I didn't use a leash.  He just runs and plays and enjoys his time there.

He seems to get along with all the doggies but is a little shy with people.

Now, when you look at these pictures, you may notice a wound on his rear left leg.  There was rather an unfortunate incident involving a car but he is fine.  He's got a really crazy looking wound under the bandage as well.  I'm not in a rush to show you but know that it is improving and we look at it every couple of days.  He gets around very well despite the abrasion back there.  He's also rather adept at getting it off.

This morning, before the kids left for school, we had to put it all back on again as he tore it off.  Silly doggie.

Furever Family, I know you've been waiting for a sweet little boy who likes to sit on the couch.  He's not exactly a snuggler but he is a wonderful little dog.  He has an enthusiastic spirit despite his "owie"

If you are interested in adopting Harley-Teddy, please know that he probably won't be able to come to your house before the wounds are healed.  Maybe a week or two yet.  I think that the accident just happened on the 24th of August.

Thank you for thinking rescue!
