Bella went in to the snip clinic yesterday morning. Kiera and I left the house at 620am for our quick drive over to HAWS for her procedure. When I took her in she was a shaking bundle of skin and bones. When I picked her up at 230pm, I was greeted by Cassie who introduced me to Claudine and both had worked with our beautiful Bella all afternoon. Working how you ask?
Claudine tried (and succeeded) with an approach called Tellington Touch. Um...you need to check it out. And to my fellow teammates with the Beardies - YOU NEED TO DO THIS.
I've been told that the dog that I'm fostering is the most reticent, withdrawn, nervous and messed up. And I believe it. I see the pictures and read the blogs of the other Beardies and I am GREEN with envy, well sort of. I know that Bella will come along eventually but it would be nice just to see her, oh, I don't know, happy? Relaxed?
When I took Bella home yesterday she was a 32# (minus the point seven from earlier in the day as she's had those parts removed)(HOORAY) bundle of skin and bones. No shaking. Today she's still a little leary of us but I assure you one way or another, I am going to learn that relaxation technique for her.
Wanna see the dog I saw at HAWS yesterday? Check it out...
I know! I know! She has a WAG!!! Hooray!!

Well you were right about the kleenex....
She is so beautiful and looks so at ease. How did you take the video I would have been crying to hard to see.
OMG! It's not just a wag, but a really enthusiastic wag.
That's our girl!
sniff, sniff
