EUREKA!!

eu·re·ka: KEY INTERJECTION:
Used to express triumph upon finding or discovering something.

We found it!! We found it!! It took about seven weeks but we found it! It is Chancey Shandy's wag. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, our Pal Chance has a wag. He wags when he is in his crate after you get home from the orthodontist. He wags when he's got his front paws on your lap and you're smooshing around on his little Fluffy Dog Cheekies. He even wags when you "skritch" him on top of his head.

Scott and I have been commenting to each other that something seems different with him the last week or so. I mentioned it to someone at work and she said, "He's content".

Ah, content.

He's also making strides in the communication department. He hasn't growled or snarled or carried on for a(nother) good two weeks. This morning he was laying by the patio doors and all of the sudden he got up, stood in the middle of the room and started barking at us. I said, "Scott, I think he may have to go outside."

He said, "nah, they were just out."

Apparently, Chance was undaunted by our little exchange and he barked some more. Scott took all three dogs outside. ( I would have gone but I seem to have contracted some sort of chest cold. This is the first time I've been vertical for about 24 hours). When Scott brought the dogs back in he said, "You know the first thing that Chance did when they got outside was start eating the new fallen snow."

Hello - people...can't fill the waterbowl myself. I DO NOT have opposable thumbs, duh!

Well, this is all you get for today. I've got to go find some more ibuprofen and lay back down. For those of you keeping up with my life, I got my braces yesterday and they removed the appliances from behind my teeth. I can now say things like Slinger and Salamander. It does however ache a bit. Until next time!
