Yesterday Chase helped me rearrange some hostas in the front yard. Ok, well, maybe rearrange is the wrong word. He hung out with me while I did all the work. Well, maybe hung out with me isn't right either. Here, watch this...
So much for help.
We have discovered that we thought he had grass allergies - wouldn't that have been fun? But it turns out it was just this huge bug bite on the bridge of his nose. It started out as this little pea shaped bump and escalated all the way to a huge quarter sized thing on his nose. He also had this wierd eye thing. His eye rolled back in his head and it was super light sensitive. Poor guy. I gave him allergy medicine - something that rhymes with...uh...hmm...menadryl and within 48 hours he was back to his cute little perky puppy self.
Scott is working on painting the house - It's almost done - it looks really nice! In the process he had to move the camper and wound up taking the tarp off of it. There was something yuck and nasty on it and of course, Chase being who he was, just had to roll in it. Yum.
I ain't takin' no stainky dog in my house.
We keep a bottle of shampoo outside for just such...ah...emergencies. Let me be the first to tell you that he's not a big fan of the hose bath. He carried on like I was beating him. Yelping and crying and carrying on was the order of that. I finally got him calmed down enough that I could let go of the collar and concentrate on scrubbing. Once I got the hose out again I forgot to grab his collar and he took off like a shot. Thru much begging and cajoling and out and out bribery I got him back and finished the job.
Eventually he forgave me. Even let me take some pictures...

I no mean puppy. I lovey puppy. See?
What did she say?
Oh, right...Cheese.
Zzzzzz
