March Snow Storm

If it seems like I've done a lot more posting about our pal Shandy Chancey these days, you are correct. I'm feeling so good about this dog now that seemingly everything he does is roses and sunshine! I wish I could show you how much he's grown since he first came to us in early January. He's gone from this on our Day One:

To this some time in February:

To where we are today. Today is doggy smiles and acting silly and crazy with the kids. He walks so much better on the leash. His fight or flight aggressive behavior has been replaced with tail wagging and doggie kisses. Granted he still has fears about much larger dogs, as well as, puppies (BTW-Drew we need current pics here). These would be the thorns and clouds in our roses and sunshine scenario. These are workable fears. On the flip side, he does great with dogs his own size.

Even his "I'm bored what can I chew on?" has seemingly been replaced with just dragging around stray clothes that don't make it in the hamper. The other day I heard someone (I won't completely humiliate my kids by naming names) say,"how did my underwear get here next to the basement door??!" This is not necessarily a bad thing. I happen to think that it encourages the hamper impaired child to pick up their stuff and put it in the hamper - how hard is that, right??

So I suppose, without further adieu, I will get on with the current Chancey Shandy... I give you...

"I am wild, wild wolf dog, living free in the north woods (beside an asphalt stream). The wind and snow... I laugh and squint. Bring it on, I say, the wilder the better!"

"I not Bearded Collie...I am Moustashioed Collie! Ciao!"

Just look at how thick his fur has become...

And, since I know how much Lori loves a good video. Here's a little something I shot last night when the snow started. CHECK OUT THAT WAG!!!
