A Few Words from Alabama Jack

(Please keep in mind that Jack has a southern accent...)

Hello Y' All on this Snowy Day here in Southeastern Wiscansin -

I've finally earned some computer time here at "the Lodge" and I'm able to send off a few words of my own.

I've have to tell y'all that this here Wiscansin is the craziest place I have ever been. Y'all talk waaaaaaaay too fast and you're always in a hurry. Jiminy Crickets! A guy can't get a word in edgewise 'round here but I'm catchin' on.

I'm gettin' on well with my foster sister Te'a. "Mom" thinks that Te'a and I is roughly the same age. Te'a is going to be a year old in January. We both play real nice together and settle down well afterwards. Mom shot a little snippet of video this morning of us in the snow.

Snow. There's another little treat I'm enjoying here. I don't understand it. It falls like rain, but cold and white. HUH? I am enjoyin' it tho. When Te'a and I are wrasslin', the cold snow feels right good on my belly.

One thing I've noticed since bein' here in Wiscansin is that my fur is a changin'. When I arrived I was tan and white with just a little smudge here and there of black. My tan parts is gettin' darker and there is more and more black smudges - Heck even my ears are turnin' dark. Oh, how I wish the sun would shine a little more - Although I do love the snow! My fur is also getting thicker to keep me warm in this crazy frozen tundra but believe it or not, I'm still not much of a shedder.

Mom and Dad are socializin' me so that I'm a good boy when we meet other dogs and people on the street. If the streets aren't too bad someone named Mama Mia Pizza Stealer is comin' over later. She's younger still than I am. She is some fancy breed called a "Labset Retriever". It seems she is a Labrador Basset Hound Golden Retriever Mix. Here is a shot from her portfolio.

Since I am a young dog, daily walks and crazy play time are important. I am still a pretty bouncy puppy and need to burn off that energy. Yesterday Te'a and I tripped Mom when we were out walking - hee hee - when she hit the ground she said funny words and something about a chiroprackter - whatever that is??!

I still struggle with house manners - this morning I had a little accident in my girl's room. (Mom cleaned it up with some sort of loud machine. I'm not sure what it is but I'm getting to understand that it won't hurt me. If she drags out the big purple one again, I may have to have some words with it.)

So that's it. Mom tells me that on Friday (whatever that is) we are going to be at the Doggy Bag in downtown Oconomowoc from 6pm - 7pm. Maybe my furever family will be there and meet me in person.

Y'all have a great afternoon! Mom says to mind my manners and say Thank You for Stoppin' and Catchin' up on my blog!

PS - Mom asked me to mention that if anyone is looking for some good "starter fish" for an aquarium to let her know. We have a 40 gallon tank with African Ciclids and we have about a dozen baby Convicts. They are about an inch or so long!

PPS - Unless I'm asleep or "dog tired" you've got to be pretty quick on the shutter if you want a decent pic of me. Mom says this pic reminds her of something her mom used to say. This is a picture of the part that went over the fence last. (Notice that it is out of focus - Mom)
