Part III of III - Little Woofie gets a Noogie too!

(if you're starting to think that last Saturday morning was a little chaotic around The Lodge, you're right. We had three dogs go home in three hours. Merry Christmas!!)

Miss Woofie-Sadye has found her furever home too.

She came up from Alabama with her roommate and protector Shaggy. She was less covered in burrs - actually, I dont think she even had one. She did however have lots of matts that needed to be cut out. She was pretty overgrown and needed an all over trimming.

She too was heartworm positive. And as tough as it is keeping one dog calm during treatment, two is crazy!

Her story is kind of sad, even though it has a happy ending!

See, the beautiful soul who relinquished Woofie and Shaggy, had cancer six years ago. She beat it and continued on with her fostering mission. Woofie's, er, biological mom, was pregnant with Woofie when Pat took her in and Woofie was born at Pat's house. She couldnt part with her lovely blond curls and she foster failured  Miss Woofie.

Not long after, Shaggy came along, like fosters do, and she couldnt part with him either.

Last October Pat's cancer came back.

This time she had to give up her beloveds and concentrate on getting better.

She is overjoyed that her pups have found new furever homes and I know that she has already been "friended" by Woofie's mom on Facebook.

So now, both her dogs, who became my dogs while they recovered from their heartworm treatments, have become members of new families. Hooray!!

Congratulations Woofie ... Sadye ... Maggie Mae! Enjoy your new life living in Sun Prairie Wisconsin with your Big Brother Murphy and your mom and dad!

To all my southern pups who found homes last weekend, but especially the two who were on bed-rest when we got snow in November, I hope it snows soon so you can go out there and play in it!!

Congrats!!

XOXO
