Ok, Fluffy Families -
Amelia and Seymour Boris have been here at The Lodge for about a month or so now. They are amazing dogs. Both, yes, both are cuddly and sweet. Both are housetrained, but please pay attention and get them out regularly. They get a long well with anybody and everybody. (They go to the dog park every morning and do great there!)
Amelia ignores the cats. Seymour Boris is a little more interested in them. He wont hurt them, they're just fun to chase.
Both dogs would do better with older kids. Our neighbor's have little little kids, like under five, and Seymour Boris wasnt so wild about the older one yesterday. I've not seen Amelia with them yet so I really cant say for sure. She does ok with my kids but they are older, 16 & 13.
Things occasionally get a little wild around here with two younger dogs and sometimes Amelia joins in and adds a little "husky" noise to the mix. More often than not, she will just step away and lay down somewhere quiet. (Denali and Seymour Boris are wrestling on the couch and Amelia is laying on the floor behind me).
Okay, I'm back, I just had to run Seymour Boris outside so he could, er, take care of some paperwork, yeah, paperwork. Good job Buddy, #1 AND #2.
Where was I? Oh, yes, perfect dogs. Both love to cuddle. Seymour sleeps with ... somebody, usually. He starts out in our bed, cuddled into my shoulder and then, I think he winds up with Kiera but I dont know. Amelia jumps on the bed but gets too hot and lays on the dog bed next to the bed to spend the night.
You couldnt ask for better dogs. One smaller "fun-sized" - I'm teaching him to leap into my arms. One I'm teaching to stop. She runs like a bullet back to me when she has been off "hunting" in the weeds at the dog park. She hasnt quite figured out stop yet and runs right into me. You can really see the Husky when she's coming at you. I wonder if I could get her to pull the wagon...
I gotta go. Seymour Boris likes a full water bucket and he will bring it to you if it is empty. Oh, yeah. There was about a quarter cup of water in there and now its on my dining room floor.
Til next time.
Thank you for thinking rescue. Thank you for reading!!
