Fluffy Fostering at Grade Lodge: Kringle - Carlos

Hi - I'm Kringle Carlos. The shelter called me Kringle because they found me in Alabama on Christmas morning, just roaming the streets n my own. My Mom calls me Carlos because she thinks I look more like a Carlos.

I am the perfect dog.

I love to ride in the car. I'd like to help drive but Mom says that's a huge nono. I am a good boy in the house and love to sit and cuddle on your lap. I like it when you hold me too!

I don't remember but I'm pretty sure I came from a home that I was the one, the only, top dog. It might be best for me to stay that way or get a trainer involved. See, I tend to get a little possessive over my human's lap while I am there. I like my sister Mocha and my other sister Te'a, but Carter... I'm just not so sure about him. Sometimes I show him my big dog teeth and make a little growly noise and well, that earns me a trip to the floor and out of the big, green chair and off my nice warm human lap.

My family here has three cats that I'd like to call "Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner", if only my family would let me catch them. Mom is working on desensitizing me to them too but this will take some time. In the meantime while we work at it, I'm confined to the first floor of the house or gated into the dining room/living room areas. I also sleep in the kennel at night to keep me out of harms way, but I would love to sleep with my girl on her bed.

I am the perfect dog.

I am housetrained. I know what sit means. I love my mom and dad. I'm ok with kids - the kids here are nine and thirteen. I get to help drive carpool to and from school and I'm always confused when the kids get out of the car.

I am not a yappy little doggie. I really don't bark that much at all. I was playing with my sister Te'a today. I didn't play much with other doggies at my old home in Alabama and I'm learning what toys are too. I'm not quite sure how it all works but I'm getting there and learning to be a good pack member every day. I am a very sweet boy. I'm a little mixed up with the turn of events my little life has taken but once I get into a routine, I'm pretty sure I'll be ok.

Mom isn't so good with the daily grooming thing so she asked Aunti Kate over at LA Groom in Hartland to give me a little cut. This will keep my hair snarl free until my furever family is ready for me and they can brush out my silky hair!
