Happy Fourth of July!

Well Fluffy Fans, we're here at another holiday at Grade Lodge! We had our good friends the Hoffland's over last night for some dinner and later fireworks on the Fowler Lake Lakefront. I was laughing thinking about the last time we had them over for a holiday get-together.

It was New Year's Eve and the Hoffland's and the Schneck's were here to celebrate. Less than ten days later we received an email saying that Jack, our foster at the time, had an application and there were people who were interested in meeting and gasp...adopting him! Will this be the case this time? I sure hope so Fluffy Friends!

I've been hoping to post some cute little pics of Chasey for you all (y'all) but with the lovely grey skies that have settled over southeastern Wisconsin, I got nothin'.

You may or may not have noticed that while there is no sunshine there seems to be an abundance of mosquitoes around. That sure is fun, huh? I donated a pint to their cause last night while we watched the fireworks. Please be sure to take care of your doggie and medicate against heartworm - those guys are wicked nasty. One little chewy a month will help protect your baby from a miserable recovery or worse.

Here are some photos of our adorable doggie. Everyone he meets he loves and continues to impress with his charming personality. He is sweet, cuddly, smart, smart, smart, housetrained, loves kids, men, women, cats and other dogs and all of this wonderfulness comes in a little 43# package!

One final public service message....Please don't take your Fluffy to the Fireworks this holiday weekend. We almost lost our beloved Andie girl when we took her to the fireworks display many years ago. The noise and lights freaked her out more than any horrible thunderstorm. Fortunately, she ran to the woods and waited for us before she crossed the busy highway! (If you want you Fluffy to enjoy the fireworks, photoshop him in!)

Thanks for reading. Please pass this along to all your Fluffy and Not-So-Fluffy Lovin' Friends.
