Hogtied - Well...He IS from Texas

Wanted to start off this blog for your viewing pleasure of two naughty puppies who got into the recycling twine while Kiera and I were eating breakfast. So of course I thought, how better to punish than to put them on the web??

I've had some technical difficulties uploading the vid - it's at the end. So if you want to see what everything in the rest of the blog is about you'll have to watch it and come back up here

Prior to this they had been wrestling with each other with the twine and well...you can see Chance got the short end of that stick. Hogtied much?

You can probably see from the video that Chance is NOT a big fan of cameras especially when the photographer does not ask if he is ready for his close up, Mr. DeMille.

I don't know if he really doesn't like the camera (ha ha) or if his particular markings with the dark circles around his eyes make him look evil and menacing. Perhaps that's why they have long hair to cover that up!

I was at a friend's house last night who has a golden-doodle. He is a golden retriever slash poodle. I'm starting to think that my earlier assessment of Portie may be wrong. I think Chance may be a Bearded Collie-Poo. Again, whatever he is, he's darn cute.

Aside from the weather being cold again today - it was 5F at 600am - I do have good news. No, I didn't save a bunch of money on my car insurance - that would be funny tho...

Chance has slept thru the night TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW! That's cause for celebration alone. We've also had no accidents since Monday AND no snarling, growling and gnashing or of teeth or angry biting of ears of since Monday. We may be on to something here folks.

I am still very cautious and very praiseful when bringing in Chance's chow. Whenever he a. sits and waits patiently, I praise him and b. doesn't eat Mocha and/or Te'a he gets praised HUGELY!!

I shouldn't tell you this (for fear of jinxing) but he's even doing his #2's outside for me. Although strangely enough, he won't go for Scott or Connor. No, prospective family, I am NOT moving in with you. You'll have to play this game on your own.

So that's the end. I'm cleaning out my closet today. Purple Heart is coming by on the 19th and a lot of this clothing I should have gotten rid of years ago. Except for that one mulberry suit. It doesn't fit but I've got to keep it.

Warmer Days - See you at the Expo!!

We had so much fun at the expo, the girls loved all the pets-and NO we are NOT getting a python.

Chance was such a good boy and I think he was having fun meeting all the people he did.

I couldn't BELIEVE all the people there. It was nuts. I hope that anybody who met our boy will seriously think about bringing him home. He's doing so well and needs his furever family!
